Put on your running shoes…

I’m 2 weeks into my 20 week challenge to compete at FitX in March next year, I’m loving the different foods, new training program, new trainer (Nicky Jakonic) & my new challenge FIGURE!!

Just a short story……..

Two people were hiking through the jungle when they heard the sound of a tiger nearby. Both were terrified but one stopped and started to put on a pair of running shoes. “What do you think you are doing?” said the other. “You know you can’t outrun a tiger no matter what you are wearing on your feet.”
“I don’t have to outrun the tiger,” was the response. “I only have to beat you!”
That’s the way the world is going. The gap between the “haves” and the “haves nots” will widen as jobs become harder to get and the opportunities or work available splits further into skilled and unskilled.
You can put on your running shoes safe in the knowledge that over 80% of the population will worry about what is happening yet will do nothing to improve their situation.

Everyone has a goal some big & some small, whether it be to have a better relationship with a relative, take on studies to get your dream job, to buy a house, to get fit & healthy, to save, to travel, what ever the case may be everyone has a goal its human nature.
I was constantly looking up inspirational people, quotes and books trying to find motivation where ever I could to keep my interest for Fitness & Wellbeing alive. Don’t get me wrong I still do this now but what’s changed is that I’ve actually started to chase those goals I had & action everything I have ever wanted to accomplish.

Don’t do something just because everyone thinks it’s best for you, don’t sit their contemplating what you know you should be doing, make your pathway & show what’s unique about you!

An example for myself was competing in fitness modelling; it feels great not having to say “What if?” anymore. It’s pushed me to now take on more challenges which I am currently working on at the moment, an in doing all this I found that I was now making an impact on others, giving them the fuel to accomplish their goals.
To think that I could make a difference or give a sense of hope to benefit their journey to challenge their goals is what I would call a dream come true & I can promise you nothings better then the feeling you get once you’ve reached them.

So put your running shoes on & become everything you’ve always loved.
